In this section, I've listed some nutrients found in food that are essential to a balanced diet.
This is just the start of this section, as I want to take you slowly through what can often appear a little overwhelming – the task of learning what each mineral and vitamin does for your body and which foods you can eat that are rich in these key nutrients.
Next week I’ll be taking you through the whole area of probiotics and prebiotics – which are essentially all to do with nurturing a healthy bacterial balance in your gut.
But enough of talking about nutrients – eating delicious food is what drives my passion for nutrition, so over to my recipes. They’re all simple to prepare at home for yourself or your family.
